RTL+ Accessibility

In 2025, I collaborated with UX designer Katrin Hoppe to support RTL+ in making key user journeys fully accessible. We evaluated and redesigned essential flows — including booking, payments, account management, registration, and login — based on WCAG 2.1 AA and upcoming BFSG requirements. Our goal: a seamless and inclusive experience for all user.

Way of working

- Accessibility Audit: Reviewed existing flows, identified barriers such as low contrast, missing labels, unclear hierarchy and limited keyboard navigation.

- Redesign: Reworked screens with clear semantics, strong contrast, focus states, readable typography and improved form structure

- Accessible Component Library: Updated key UI components (buttons, inputs,alerts, modals) to ensure consistency and WCAG-compliance across the product.

- Developer handoff: Delivered annotated designs including semantic structure, ARIA guidance, keyboard order, and interaction behavior.

Key improvements

- Fully keyboard-accessible journeys (registration, login, booking, payments).

- Screen-reader-friendly forms with explicit labels and meaningful error messages.

- Clear visual hierarchy, improved contrast, and accessible typography.

- Consistent and reusable accessibility-ready components for future features.

RTL+ now provides more inclusive, perceivable, operable, and understandable user journeys — improving usability for all users and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards from 2025 onwards.
